In my experience it did not hurt at all, and feels good to wear

For me, the worst part of getting the piercing was inserting the receiving tube into the urethra. The needle part wasn't all that painful. And, the few days of showering while standing in a puddle of bloody water was a bit disconcerting. Unfortunately, I really don't like the feel of it, and I haven't worn jewelry in it for a very long time. Some years ago, I inquired about having it surgically closed, and that $75 hole will cost $6000 to fix.

I've had one since April and have gone from a 10 gage ring to a 6 gage. Getting it done hurt less than getting a single nipple pierced. I did bleed like a stuck pig while I was at the studio but any subsequent bleeding was minor and gone after 3 days. I enjoy mine thoroughly and it was definitely a conversation piece when I was in Key West recently.

    icon_eek.gif now that's a commitment.

The first prince albert I saw and had the pleasure of experiencing was on my 17th birthday. One of my college tour guides grew to be a good friend of mine and so I was getting birthday sex when his roommate accidentally walked in on us. We were all frozen in shock for what seemed to be an eternity until he finally closed the door behind him, whipped it out, and BAM! I've thought of getting one ever since - it was pretty fun.

I think I'll give it a few more years of contemplation before deciding.

Its always been a curiosity... but IDK what the point would be. No one would see it except me! And then the other hole issue.... closing/not closing. Complicated!

Not that I'm trying to convince anyone that they should run out and get one (partially because I think it's pretty cool that so few guys have a PA--if everyone had one, it would ruin the fun!), but I think there are a lot of misconceptions about getting a PA. This is how I respond to the typical questions:

Did it hurt? Everyone is different, but for me it was just a quick pinch and then it was done.

Did it bleed alot? I only bled a quarter-sized "blob" of blood during the night after getting pierced. Again, everyone is different.

Do you have to pee sitting down? Not always, certainly not at urinals, but it does require a bit of strategy standing up to pee in a toilet.

Does it make sex more interesting? It definitely intensifies the sensations, and whether masturbating or having sex with another guy, it definitely takes things to a new level.

Do you take it out for sex? I let my partner decide. Oral can be tricky, and I know I wouldn't want it clanking against my teeth, either, so I'm happy to take it out. Other than oral, most of the time the vote is to leave it in for other activities ;-)

How long did you have to go without sex while it was healing? The initial piercing took probably 3 months to heal completely, but one can resume having (protected) sex after about 2 or 3 weeks (very carefully at first).

Did it ever get infected? No--if one uses common sense and maintains good hygiene, it will not get infected.

How long before I can stretch to a bigger gauge? I went from the initial size of 10g to 8g after about 3 months, and then was able to move up from there every 2-3 months. Have been at a happy 2g for while now.

Have you ever regretted it? Nope. Not one bit!

Anyway, for any of you who are thinking about it, those are some of the common questions I get when people find out I have a PA.

Nope, I like tattoos and it could be cool on other, but it's not for me. No one is taking a needle near my "albert"icon_twisted.gif
