BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) - The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon by Occupy Boston protesters.

The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.

Now, the Coast Guard is warning all staff working on Atlantic Avenue to avoid those protesters while in uniform.

More than 140 Occupy Boston protesters were arrested earlier this week for refusing to cooperate with police on the Rose Kennedy Greenway.

I find it odd that you would believe this when the video of black congressional caucus members being spat upon by tea baggers made you incredulous.

My goodness ... such utter preoccupation on the part of the RJ rightwing gallery where it concerns the OWS phenomenon

You'd Think their message of Corporate greed and a fairer tax system would ring true with them but no .... it's become a 26 troll party for you guys
    attempting to kill the messenger

Sorry boys ... the movement is growing and as more and more people join the groups there is going to be clashes with authorities who want to contain them ... sorry bub ... that's what protest is all about

The difference is that Coast Guard folks are honorable people and Nancy Pelosi and the CBC are not.

I will believe a CG member than any of those people ANY day.

Have you ever met a Coast Guard officer? Did you meet this one?

In what ways are the CBC and Pelosi not "honorable?"

Here's some more questions; What did she say to them ?

Did she exhibit the oft times military snide reaction toward anyone going against the 'system' ?

I have a lot of military in my family and they are a very right wing militarily indoctrinated group in general. Such people don't like their 'system' being questioned and those who do are just seen as troublemakers. The media in general has a goal of casting a bad light on descentors against the system that they are so much a part of, and especially FOX, so they wouldn't be telling us what she may have done to bring this on.

But no matter what she did, I think spitting on someone is dispicable ! Whoever did this sure didn't do their cause any good.

Remind me of the video? Was this supposedly the same video where the Congressmen claimed they were attacked with racial slurs, where Breitbart offered a reward for any video that could show it and none could be produced?

The video is out there for all to see and unlike Brietbart's video it's not doctored. The fact that you cite this lying douchebag as a source is pathetic. Who are you going to reference next? Alex Jones?

Do reference the racial slurs then they claim were lobbed at them. Lying douchebags were the congressmen who claimed that they were attacked by supposedly racist tea partiers. The fact that no one came forward to claim a reward for video evidence when so many cams were present that day is telling in itself. Is your source Jayson Blair?

I find it very odd that only ONE 'fox' news station reported this incident And no other journalist anywhere has confirmed nor denied this story.

    Skepticism works wonders.

One should be skeptical of anything FOX broadcaats unless it is corroborrated by reputable news sources., but riddler does not ever post from reputable sources, only right wing websites.

whatever is on Right wing Talking Points will appear as a riddler thred on RJ within a day. check it out. It is hilarious.

Rush Tries To Paint The Occupy Wall Street Crowd As Antisemitic
Republican Peter King Calls ‘Occupy Wall Street’ Protesters A ‘Ragtag Mob,’ Warns Americans

    October 8, 2011
    By Stephen D. Foster Jr.
Yesterday, on the Laura Ingraham show, New York Rep. Peter King made an effort to delegitimize the 'Occupy Wall Street' movement that has been sweeping across the country. First, he called the protesters a bunch of 'anarchists' and a 'ragtag mob.' Then he warned Americans not to give the movement any legitimacy because protests remind him of the liberal protests of the 1960s.

“The fact is these people are anarchists. They have no idea what they’re doing out there. They have no sense of purpose other than a basically anti-American tone and anti-capitalist. It’s a ragtag mob basically.”

King went on to call the protests “a bunch of angry 1960s do-overs” trying “to create chaos and take away the focus on the Obama record.”

“We have to be careful not to allow this to get any legitimacy,” King warned. “I’m taking this seriously in that I’m old enough to remember what happened in the 1960s when the left-wing took to the streets and somehow the media glorified them and it ended up shaping policy. We can’t allow that to happen

Here's the lack of facts about this incident, "reported" through the distorting lens of FOX News:

    1. So far no corroborating witnesses to this act have come forward, nor has video surfaced.
    2. The alleged perpetrators have not been tied to the Occupy movement, which has condemned such actions. This could be pure guilt by association, the alleged incident occurring at the same time as the Boston protests.
    3. There is no logical or philosophical connection between the Coast Guard and the Occupy goals to make Wall Street & corporations accountable for causing the economic crisis. The closest explanation may be confusing the CG uniform for the police, especially if it was the tan uniform like some state police and locals wear.

The Teabaggers have done far worse across the entire US, spitting on Black Congressmen, brandishing guns at public meetings, blocking traffic (I've been caught in their protests while driving here several times), and other acts of intimidation and civil disobedience. Odd that FOX doesn't feature those incidents, nor are they posted to RJ by the same guys who make derogatory posts every time President Obama burps.

No witnesses? No video? It probably didn't happen and most likely was made up by the right wing liars to tarnish the OWS.

On a happier note - the Occupy PEI event is today on the lawn beside our legislature from 2 - 5:00 (very civilized - a demo with a start and end time. LOL

I'll take pictures and report on it later.

    Are you kidding me?
It would have been wall to wall

Hmmm... Tens of thousands of protesters, and allegedly, a few spat?

Can someone tell me why this is news?

Or why we read Riddler's daily sputter?
