Journey celebrates man's path to U.S. citizenship
southbeach1500 saidHe is extremely lucky. Asylum status is difficult to obtain, but, ironically, not as difficult to obtain as more "temporary" legal ways of entering the USA, such as the H-1B visa.
Anybody who is able to legally get into the USA needs to be recognized as being quite lucky, as the entire U.S. immigration system is stacked against all "aliens" (as they call them) who try to legally come to the USA.
Ooops... Is "he" you?
JakeGHK saidI didn't take offense at his saying that I was "extremely lucky." In many ways he's right. I just pointed out that at the time when there were people trying to kill me the thought obviously didn't cross my mind. Plus, he didn't know that I am the subject of the article... So it's all good.TropicalMark saidSb.. why dont you shut up?
Why should he really? Many of those illegals probably went for the same route only to be put through the same BS, its almost as if they want illegality.
On a lighter note, I wanted to let you know that I visited First Ave. Deli for breakfast this week, heard "Constantino" no less than three times!
