I was never much of a chocoholic. After reading an article about gourmet chocolate, I decided to try some. I really liked these (link below). Does anyone else have a favorite place to get chocolates?

I don't understand how they can call them handmade when they show machines making them.

There are a lot of good chocolate companies out there.

I like L.A. Burdick. Their chocolate is really good and everything is really high quality. Love their nougat and pates de fruits as well. icon_smile.gif

I knew someone was going to "go there" somehow, but since you posted a picture of Reggie Bush, you will be forgiven.

I scored some Callebaut dark chocolate at "Good News", a really cool kitchen supply store in San Diego. You should be able to find it at Whole Foods as well. http://www.callebaut.com/

I was going to use it in some cookies for work. But, I ate the whole half-pound block that night by myself.

They never made it out of the house. Ever eat something so delicious, you get emotional?

For dutch process chocolate powder, try Penzey's version... But, if you go to their store and don't check out the rest of their selection....what's wrong with you?

There are retail stores in large metro areas across the US. Fortunately, the one in Seattle, near Pikes Place Market opened before I got here. Or, they have excellent mail order. http://www.penzeys.com/

Lindt is nice. For everyday eating or binge after a horrible date.

For more refined occasions I like Teurcher's chocolate icon_smile.gif
