That waterfall is amazing! You take really nice pictures. I assume you are a professional.

Thanks! That was the first time I attempted a slow-shutter waterfall shot. I thought that kind of effect may be thought of as overdone by others, but it really does look better than a standard shot.

I love waterfalls. Since I can't get there myself right now, I'll take the beautiful picture. icon_biggrin.gif

Remember the movie "The Village"? Bet they'd pull up this red maple seedling really quick! Cool to find this in a sea of brown.

    Shot notes? What camera?

Just got myself a Canon EOS 7D, and a Tamron AF 18-200mm 1:3.5-6.3

New lenses to come soon, hopefully. Need some used primes...

Love em all, but would re-crop the waterfall. The angle is distracting.

All of these pictures were taken with my 8-year-old, 4-megapixel camera Panasonic Lumix FZ10, and they print up to 8 x 10 just as nice for professional books. Goes to show you you don't need an expensive camera to take good shots (unless you're printing billboards). I like that the camera has ISO 50 for less grain. If I could find like a 10-megapixel with same features for tighter cropping I'd buy one. I'm just not one to invest thousands of dollars in a DSLR and still need more lenses.

This is the point in the conversation where I have to exit because this is all way over my head. But feel free to post more pics for me to admire. icon_biggrin.gif

See, the reason I bought mine was the video capabilities... I use it professionally for weddings, short films, etc. Otherwise I totally agree icon_biggrin.gif

Yeah, I like that the new still cameras have good HD video.

I produced my last two documentaries using my 12-year old Sony TRV-900 mini-dv camcorder. Sharp as hell, broadcast quality, but not widescreen. So I will need to upgrade.

Who wants to buy me some new stuff? icon_wink.gif

For every good picture there are many, many bad ones. I took 20 pictures of that falls at various angles and shutter speeds. I think my ratio of good pictures to nothing to write home about is 1:50. icon_wink.gif
