I will say that it was interesting that while doing cardio last night I was also watching CNN. The shock of watching these older southern white racists tea partiers in Tennessee fawning all over Herman Cain like he was a rock start. I’ve never seen so many folks who evidently must be color blind. Easy Doom ... easy.

I think all this talk about color is ridiculous. It's just not that important anymore, especially in an economy this bad when so many Americans are suffering. Regardless, Cain's campaign will start to unravel the more he and his ideas get put under the microscope. I also think his health, though he is considered a cancer survivor from both prostate and liver cancer, will become more of an issue as we get deeper into the campaign

    What race issue?

The issue is economic not race
    Cain is black ... Yes
But how is 999 plan going to effect people who would otherwise have voted for Obama

How is providing cover for the top 1% going to help people who are working two jobs without healthcare benefits?

How is continuing the same republican economic plan that's been in place for the last two decades going to effect someone who lost their retirement plan because the stock market tanked ?

You tried it once before ....... How did Michael Steele as RNC chair workout for ya? icon_cool.gif

I mentioned this about the health issue quite a while ago and it remains a big concern to me. Prostate cancer is one thing, but liver cancer is another. Recurrent liver cancer is generally a big problem.

Given the old geezer age that I have attained, I have had friends who have passed on from metastatic melanoma to liver cancer. And one from recurrent liver cancer. They were gone within months. This will be an issue if he's the nominee

He’d have to have a VP candidate similar to Dick Cheney in depth and breadth, but healthy.

Don't fool yourself. The comments are still being made that he isn't one of "them".

And I still don't believe that nobody has made a racist comment around you. This is the web where people lie all of the time (fake profiles), and add that they have "several black friends" or "I have a friend that is very dark" before spewing their bullshit.

    Oh really! By whom?

I have a very good friend who is 'pretty dark'. Does that count?

Actually by a girl I met through a friend, who stated why she liked Herman Cain. One of the things she said was, "he, like you, aren't like them." I get that a lot.

I'm glad that you got that. icon_biggrin.gif

But what did the boy who's friend you met through a distant cousin's girlfriend's friend think? icon_rolleyes.gif

And you’ve seen from the numerous vids and stills that I post – frequently - that I hang with the reddest of the rednecks and nope, hasn’t been an issue for a very very long time. Maybe it’s just the car guys who different than all the rest of the rednecks and it still exists in other circles.

And me being a big redneck homo is no issue either. True, it’s not what we stand around and talk about, but enough people know that I’m sure it’s gotten around. Zero issue. I have impeccable redneck credentials, well, other than that. It we go way out of town to a big show, I've been asked several times about sharing rooms - then someones pipes up about how much I like to fart, but nothing about queerness. Go figure!

One of the major car nuts who comes out to many events in the Detroit area is Ed Welburn. Ed has certified car nut credentials, and that’s all that counts. He's also fawned upon like a rock star in car collector circles.

Ignore Jay, he’s at everything. I saw Jay about once a week at something in SoCal. I think car collecting is the only reason Jay works
