"Over the past month, the crusaders at Zuccotti Park have braved the elements, tussled with police, and stood their ground against Mayor Bloomberg. But how much do the protesters actually know about the economic system that they're fighting to change? To find out, we asked 50 occupiers a series of questions about Wall Street, taxes, and government. The results were mixed. See if you can do better." Jump to the link:

Here's one telling response of OWS folks:

An even greater lack of basic knowledge of government has been shown in polls of self-describe Tea Baggers. You know those people who carry signs that say "Keep your government hands off my Medicare"?

Those signs just help to reinforce how the tea partiers are and continue to be a true grassroots movement that includes hard working middle class Americans who don't always spell correctly while apparently many of the OWS folks are paid or part of well organized unions like the SEIU.

The elitist arrogance however of many of the unemployed OWS folks and their supporters however is ironic icon_wink.gif

I have to say that while the videos and images of the defecation on cop cars, and interviews of OWS, the one I've posted from liveleak is the most entertaining.

I didn't know AstroTurf had roots

    Sorry Rid
It's been long known that the origins of the Teabag movement has been tied to organizations started by people like Dick Army

The Tea Partysecond category. It is mostly composed of passionate, well-meaning people who think they are fighting elite power, unaware that they have been organised by the very interests they believe they are confronting. We now have powerful evidence that the movement was established and has been guided with the help of money from billionaires and big business. Much of this money, as well as much of the strategy and staffing, were provided by two brothers who run what they call "the biggest company you've never heard of".
"The Koch brothers through Americans for Prosperity gave the money that founded [the Tea Party]," one of them explained. "It's like they put the seeds in the ground. Then the rainstorm comes, and the frogs come out of the mud – and they're our candidates!" Another observed that the Kochs are smart. "This rightwing, redneck stuff works for them. They see this as a way to get things done without getting dirty themselves."

In this thread, we again see the delusional hypocrisy of riddler. Here, he states that when a financial question cannot be answered by the OWS protesters, it's because they are stupid...a question far more advanced than basic spelling, mind you. However, when tea party protesters can't spell simple words that a middle schooler should spell, it's "grass roots."

In another recent thread, he states that any time the tea party is shown as extreme, it's due to the focus on the fringe of the tea party...When he then goes and states that whenever the OWS protesters are shown as extreme, it is because it represents the mainstream movement.

    So...the hypocrisy and delusion continue.

Irony abounds - especially considering the donations that OWS has gotten from such grassroots groups as the unions. Genuinely dishonest? That would be those like you who repeatedly attempt to denigrate tea partiers while lavishing praise on OWS folks without the slightest bit of shame - but to each their own.

Once again - you show that you are unable to even read. My point was that the protesters understand very little with respect to what they're even protesting - I'm sure this is also the case with respect to many tea partiers though for the record there is this -

    http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/15/us/politics/15poll.html?pagewanted=all

That being said look at the principle values of both groups - again, I hope Americans are encouraged to choose - one of individual liberties and personal responsibility versus the other that encourages greater government intervention, greater spending and greater encroachment. There's nothing new about the ideas of the OWS folks - it's not even a recycling.

I can see why you wouldn't understand the difference between the UFT offering to donate space to OWS for storage and the Koch brothers co-opting the Tea Party movement by funding bus trips, conferences, infiltrating their organizations, etc, as you care nothing for the "little people", but there is a difference. icon_rolleyes.gif

And you're right. The NYT article is very informative as to the animating spirit of the Tea Party.

"The overwhelming majority of supporters say Mr. Obama does not share the values most Americans live by and that he does not understand the problems of people like themselves. More than half say the policies of the administration favor the poor, and 25 percent think that the administration favors blacks over whites — compared with 11 percent of the general public.

They are more likely than the general public, and Republicans, to say that too much has been made of the problems facing black people. "

No risk? I'm guessing far more than you do. Nevertheless, you do realize that OWS is a movement that was started by Canadians?
