Are there any specific (if at all?) horror movies any of ya watch or put on during the Halloween season?

If so, list your fav's ya like to put on.

Though I generally watch Horror all year 'round, there are those particular ones that put you in the spirit.

    SOME o' mine are:

Halloween 1 & 2 (the originals), The House of the Devil, The Fog ('79), The Texas Chainsaw Massacre ('74), Friday the 13th Part 2, The Return of the Living Dead, Fright Night ('85), Trick 'R Treat, Murder-Set-Pieces (unrated), Slumber Party Massacre, The Evil Dead, The Gates of Hell, Suspiria ......

If you're into horror - name off some o' yours! icon_twisted.gif

Wow, you've got a good list.

I think the original Night of the Living Dead is one of the greatest movies ever made, horror or otherwise.

The Creature from the Black Lagoon and Revenge of the Creature both rock as far as old time monster movies go; see the first one in 3-D if you ever get the chance (yeah it's the goofy old black-and-white, cheesy red-and-blue glasses 3-D).

Re-Animator is a classic (don't bother with the sequels; they were not made by the same guy).

And, I just re-watched John Carpenter's The Thing. Still a hugely entertaining gross-out flick with maybe the best "jump scene" ever filmed.

I still like watching Hellraiser and Phantasm. Sure they're kinda cheezy by today's horror movie standards. But they're still entertaining and somewhat gory. icon_biggrin.gif

It's not strictly Halloween themed, but if I'm in the mood for a good scare, The Strangers always keeps me up at night!

I like Halloween, The Fog, and Poltergeist. All originals.

    I love horrors/ thrillers

Pretty much watched all of the movies the guy above me posted and the only ones to really scare me were insidious, the omen and maybe the exorcist.

I would suggest some amityville, some japanese ju-on/ju-on 2 to throw in there. However liking more thriller movies, I can't really comment much else on this topic.

Pet Sematary was hilarious. and Poltergeist II, OMG that old man! Looked like death himself (you will know what I mean if you have watched it)

I have to say - Yes Halloween III: The Season of the Witch is Michael Myer's LITE - though as a stand alone film it is EFFIN' AWESOME! After years & years of seeing it growing up I finally fell in love w/ it back in 2002. Its a sick sick sick plot: killing all the children on halloween? Pretty evil shit!

Over the past several years its been hinted that there could be a sequel, however there are ALOT o' companies trying to get the rights to possibly Remake it. I don't know if it'll fly, cuz there is ALOT goin' on in the original Phantasm, but its been talked about.

The major classic now getting the remake treatment is THE EVIL DEAD. Which, I'd go see it - But I find it unnecessary. The original one is top notch great on its own!

I LOVE watching 80's slashers on Halloween so I will be watching something from the Friday 13th Series, Halloween series and one of the better Nightmare On Elmstreet films.

I have to round it off with some 90's postmodern slasher so Scream will be the last film I watch.

I tried to watch the unrated version of Murder Set Pieces, I thought it was a really shit film lol and wasn't nearly as SHOCKING as everyone has said.

I guess I've seen too many pseudo snuff films like August Underground.

AMC's showing some good stuff for this October for Halloween. I think this week was suppose to be a George Romero themed movie marathon.
