pattison saidIt could be said America may well still have power; but.............it's never really been good on justice. No in fact on this one it seems it's been backing the wrong side; protecting and persecuting the wrong people.
I recall growing up and all you would see in the media about this topic, was what an evil wicked organisations like the PLF, and Yasser Arafat were, persecuting poor innocent people. But never telling the true or full story of how Palestinians were fighting for their homes and land, from illegal land grabs the Palestinians were persecuted, made refugees, and tortured too. But still is this story being told even today.
I think one of the best things to come about for the sake of exposing Palestines true delimma under Israeli's Occupation, is Abbas subverting Netanyahu's intransigence by going for Statehood before the UN Security Counsil.
I only wish is that Obama had kept his word about being serious about peace, rather than caving to AIPAC influence for the sake of his re election. No one around the world see's Obama's VETO threat as anything but caving to the very real and all pervading Israeli Lobby AIPAC and its far right associates here in the US.
This is what happens when one government takes on the interests of another as if they are their own. the US is paying for this dearly in lost credibility and legitimacy in the Middle East and around the world. We are seen as the dog being wagged by its tail (Israel)
Fortunately for Palestine, Israel's far right Zionist Fanatics are proving Palestines point behind going to the UN to seek a route to peace. Netanyahu has three times already increased settlement obstructions to peace since the Palestinian UN Bid for Statehood, these actions have done more good for showing the world the truth of the situation than years of Abbas speeches could ever do. Thank you Netanyahu !! Thank you very much, you are making Palestines case very obvious.
