What difference would it make if I were to do half of my workout and the remainder in the evening?

Sounds like you'd be doing two separate but smaller workouts.

Need a bit of clarification here: are you asking if it's OK to do some body parts in the morning and other body parts at another time, or are you asking if it's OK to do some of each in the morning and the rest of each in the evening?

I know a lot of people who'll do legs one day and upper body the next, or chest/triceps one day and back/biceps the next, or whatever other split they want. For those people, I don't see why they couldn't do one morning and the other evening, if the time and motivation are there.

I don't know anybody who does a full-body workout in both morning and evening.

It makes you less tired during the day.

I guess it depends on what you're doing.
A friend of mine doesn't have a lot of time during the week but has 2 days off so he crams in his upper and lower body into the same day and then rests 2 days until the next sesh.

But I think if you did half the sets in the morning and the other half at night you'd probs go all day burning a billion cals!
