I was in the industry for over 10 years, and I never had to sleep my way into a job. Sure you get invited to a lot of parties, and some guys end up hooking up, but it's not quite the fantasy that this link suggests.
During a casting, or "go see", you do end up in your underwear so that they can see what your body looks like, but no, you do not have to have a boner, and no you do not have to go and blow someone. There was one big designer I worked for, where during the fittings, 5 of us were standing around in our undies for about 30 minutes waiting for clothes to be brought to us to try on. People kept walking by or into the room, but that's as bad as it got. It was like hanging out in swimwear.
Oh and you will have the occasional stylist who wants to "adjust" you, but you just swat their hand away and tell them that you can do that yourself.

That was a crock of B.S., and not even close to being the truth. Sounded like some guy with sour grapes wondering why he never made it in the industry. He clearly has no real experience whatsoever in the higher-end area of the industry. People are expected to be professional in that industry as in any other.

Psh. I've got like... 60 pounds to lose before then. Even if people are trying to book me for other things.

And wtf. Ownership of husband. Must be an off day for you.

LOL.. Bodybuilding.com thread. I think that dude was just trolling. All of the off-topic forums shouldn't be taken seriously.

which planet do you live in??

I had this experience with Milan as well and I'll affirm that with the OP. It's a very different world out there.

It's why I din't bother relocating to Milan, it's a very dirty business in the higher circles. (the offers I had were for High end stuff and I dealt directly with the heads of fashion houses or designers themselves)
