Probably this one guy who had just had his 21st bday. I met him a week or two earlier where he nicely introduced himself and gave me his "card" even though he didnt have any particular job.....

On the date, he went on and on about how he had been here and there, done this and that, and just knew everything there was to know about this language and that culture..... It was a lot of talking and not much inquiry about the party sitting across the table from him.

I later saw the same waitress who served us, when i went back to the same wine bar with a few friends. She was like, "I remember you... you were on a date with that guy. You looked SO checked out." Haha... apparently my poker face is transparent. I thought I did a decent job of maintaining conversation. But then again, he was doing most of the talking since he wouldnt shut up for more than 15 seconds.

Since we both shared 1 limo we took the girls home, on te way to Austin's house he tells me he wants to spend night over my house and i say okay tyme we get in the house he kisses me and picks me up and takes me to my bedroom...... you kno what happened next. He started acting funny after this and he is still acting funny after 4 years.

It was about 1983, & I was dating a girl icon_eek.gif. Her father was a retired chief-of-police in a somewhat famous Calif. town. He was drunk & did not seem to like me. We went to a concert @ the Oakland Paramount Theater (quite beautiful, BTW). She had been over-worked at her job, was apparently coming down w/ something, & barfed in the main Lobby trashcan.

    ...no I didn't get any.

Let me put it like this. . . .

Him - "I want to take you out to dinner."

    Check comes. . . .

Him - "So, want to just split it?"

Me - "The fuck?! I thought you said you wanted to take me out, not that you wanted to hang out and go dutch."

I know there's a lot of RJ'ers who feel differently, but I agree with you, if you ask someone out, you're the one who needs to pay!

It's not even that, like I would GLADLY go dutch if the wording had been different. . . but I feel like when you say you want to "take me out" it means that you want to like treat me to dinner. I definitely don't expect someone to pay every time, but I mean. . .think about how you word shit.

Kolmas saidI agreed to go out with this guy. The plan was just to meet and hang out. The moment we met, he dragged me into alcohol store and bought some drinks. Then we went to his place for some drinks. It was weird going to someone's place without knowing the guy, but I agreed. The place was messy and dirty. I overlooked that and after 5 minutes of talking, he started pouring drinks. At first I thought he was being polite, but later I realised he was trying to get me drunk. We had some and soon he was talking about a threeway and this weird old man comes in. His plan was to lure me these and get me drunk and fuck me. Fortunately I can handle alcohol, so I left and I made an excuse that I wasn't feeling good. Lol worst date ever.

    That's awful, what a psycho, I'm glad you're okay. icon_smile.gif

Did he complain about how you didn't talk enough at the end of the date? I may have gone out with the same guy. icon_lol.gif

Back in the early 1990s, pre-Internet days when I was a 20-something I agreed to a blind date a friend of mine set up with a friend of a friend. We talked on the phone once and agreed to meet up and do dinner and a movie on a Saturday afternoon. Hours after the agreed upon time he was to pick me up at my place, he showed up, drunk as a skunk, with flowers and a card. He apologized for being late. He didn't acknowledge he was drunk out of his mind and couldn't stop swaying!

He kinda insisted I open the card -as he stood in the apartment door. I hadn't realized he was drunk yet and when I opened it, glitter poured out of the envelope all over the floor.

As I processed what the hell was going on, he asked if he could use the bathroom, then put his hands over his mouth and pushed past me into place. I pointed towards the bathroom and directed him there. All I could think is I didn't want vomit mixed in with the glitter. I closed the door and pushed the glitter into a pile with my foot and after a few minutes, I realized I didn't hear anything. I went to check and the guy was passed out on bathroom floor.

I got his buddy who set us up to come over and hang out while we tried to revive him (and get him the hell outta my place). I later was told he was really shy and felt so intimidated t meet me, so he got drunk to try and relax. I felt bad for him, but not bad enough to try again.
