Getting a tattoo...

I know this isn't a new concept for a topic - and I'm not "trolling" or anything. If you have seen my profile, I am a few pounds away from hitting the 100 pound weight loss mark. I am thinking of commemorating this by getting my first tattoo.

So, I can't get one in a really visible place because of work. - I am thinking I will get it either on my shoulder or upper arm.

What I can't decide is what it should be. I want it to be something personal that represents me. I think I've landed on a puzzle piece - because I have always struggled to feel like I fit in. I am actually in a place in my life where I feel like I am right where I belong and I am in a good place. I looked online and it seems like this concept has "been done."

So, I am looking for other possible suggestions/ideas. One thing I thought that could make it different is getting a tattoo that looks like a tribal tattoo, but the lines form the shape of a puzzle piece - if that makes sense...

I also like the idea of modifying this one a bit...

I'll probably put it on my upper arm or shoulder.

I quite love the design, however... any white will fade fast, so you must touch it up every so often. Be prepared for that.

That's a seriously cool tattoo. I've never gotten one just because I can't think of anything that would really represent me and that I would want to have permanently. But I could consider something very cool and eye-catching like this.

I recently went through radiation treatments for cancer. I was rejoicing at beating the cancer one night when I was listening to Matthew Good's 'Indestructible' http://youtu.be/4V9AIyzQDdA and I decided to get that word tatooed on my bicep, just below the short-sleeve line. Something tasteful and understated has more impact and gives people an opening if they want to hit on you. A big scary tatoo screams FREAK. Be selective.

I was gonna congratulate you on beating cancer but then you had to be a cunt about things with that uncalled for opinion toward the end of your rant. icon_rolleyes.gif

but i'm still on the deciding process..., i don't know what do I want to have on me.
