real extra lean meat

    anyone have any suggestions..ive been hearing about deer and elk meat..anyone ever tried it?

    Kangaroo , unfortunately the supermarket that sold it in the UK dropped it because of complaints about eating Skippy.
    Eat Venison occasionally.

    Bison is very lean, and it's becoming easier to find in stores in North America.

    I like venison, but I pretty much like every food out there anyway.

    Bison is now found in a fair number of major supermarkets...now that they've caught on though, the price has been hiked icon_sad.gif
    I can find other lean meats such as elk & osterich in health food supermarkets. The price is stil pretty reasonable for a pound of meat.
    As far as cooking goes, there are 2 things to remember. First, since it has minimal fat, it needs to have a binder (think breadcrumbs in Mom's meatloaf). Second, is that it doesn't necessarily have to look cooked, to be cooked. It can look like it's still a bit pink, and be fully cooked. Just the way the meat is...
