    Hey guys,

I'm not sure if anyone posted anything about this or not but I stretch a lot and have really good flexibility but for some reason or not I can't get some joints in my legs to stop cracking when I walk. It's kind of annoying, I think it's my ankle joints. Is there any kinda of supplement or diet change i can help with that or any exercises.

I don't think there's anything you can do about it, but I also don't think it's anything to worry about unless you also have pain along with it. My ankles and knees have cracked and popped somewhat since I was in my early 20s. But I've never had any pain with it and honestly it kind of amuses me.

i agree, unless there's pain and discomfort you can probably wait and just mention it at your next yearly physical (or bi-annual if you're gung-ho about it). I have problems with my neck that cause me alot of pain (shut up) and i've been trying to set an appointment with a specialist.

It's nothing to worry about, quite common and absolutely harmless.
But there is nothing you can do to fix it.

Oxygen is most likely underlying cause of extremity joints 'creaking' and popping and cracking.

The older we get the less oxygen filters to the extremities. This leads to poor growth of new cartilage, and general thinning and in more extreme cases uneven growth.

It is a natural process that comes with time, there is really very little one can do about it.

There are 'joint' supplements that provide more material for your joints to stay strong, thick and healthier longer.

If you smoke (tobacco or pot or crack or whatever icon_razz.gif) you are decreasing the amount of oxygen that flows through your body.

You might want to try deep breathing exercises, boosting the amount of oxygen in your blood, and also have iron and b-12 checked, supplement a little if not needed, a lot of needed. Iron will bond and carry more oxygen to the extremities.

I was having this EXACT same issue with my ankle and shoulder. Good to know it's nothing too serious...icon_cool.gif
