I grew up on a working cattle farm. I've bailed hay, built fence, branded cattle, helped birth baby calves, worked the sawmill, built a barn, filled grain silos, handled snakes, shot deer, painted tin roofs with heavy black toxic tar, and once rebuilt by hand an entire set of bulldozer tracks, etc etc.

    So, ask away.

We had a small group of cows we milked for family use until the early 80s. Most of the stock was for beef. In recent years they take them away about the semi load, butcher them in PA and fly the steaks off to Japan.

Are corn-and-potato fed boys really beefier and well-built compared with the other guys? Or is that only an illusion?

When you were young and had no sense, did you piss upon an electric fence?
If so...did it curl the hair around your balls and make you shit in your overalls?

At what age did you have the heifers inseminated?
Did you have bulls or use a bull sperm bank?
How did you choose the bull/donner sperm?
Did you castrate male calves born on your farm?
What was the average age for sending cattle to slaughter?
    What breed of cattle? (Angus?)

If I want to train to go work on a farm, should I use Farmville or Farm Town?

Neither. You should find a farmer to pay you cash to work a week in the fields.

I think they often are. Mostly because their bodies develop from physical labor vs working out. In my family however, everyone is tall and thin.

One time, I actually peed on an electric fence, by accident. It just makes your cock n balls jerk and burn a little bit!

    Usually at 1.5-2 years old.

We had bulls that we traded out every 3-4 years.

We didn't castrate. We'd either band them and their scrotums would fall off or we'd use clamps and break their cords.

Depends on what was being slaughtered - a steer/heifer fattened for market or a cow being butchered for private use/filling of a deep freezer with steaks and hamburger.

Lots of breeds. Holsteins, Angus, Charolais, Limousin, Hereford, etc etc.

    I have two questions:

    1) How easy is it to lose your hearing?
    2) If there was a way to engineer an omega combine that can harvest both corn and soybeans, could I become a millionaire?

I peed on an electric fence, but knew it was turned off. A few minutes later my brother went to pee on it, and I turned it on when he wasn't looking. icon_lol.gif

Can I actually scare a cow into giving sour milk?

How many of your family members married their own siblings or first cousins?

    1. Huh?
    2. Hmm, that would be one complexly designed and ingenious grain filter! You'd likely become a millionaire.

    No.

I had a second cousin marry her first cousin. And an uncle who married his fourth cousin.

What's really comfortable is the ginned cotton seed feed bin! Great place to nap too!
