Two years ago I dislocated my shoulder at least partially while playing in a friend's yard. My friend and I were able to get it back into place, but it hurt bad. For a couple of weeks I couldn't raise my arm over my head. I could only wear shirts that buttoned up the front. Eventually I went to a doctor, who confirmed that I have a microtear in my rotator cuff. He said he couldn't do anything about it and gave me some exercises to do. Ultimately, the pain disappeared and I even forgot which shoulder was the injured one.

Then three weeks ago, while hunting and killing a cockroach, I made a sudden move and felt a spasm of pain. Immediately I remembered which shoulder was injured. And it's still sore now. When will my shoulder be back to normal? Does anyone else have experience with this kind of injury? When can I go back to lifting weights?
