i know there's gotta be a few guys around here that are into MMA. anyone see UFC 84 this past saturday? holy crap i couldn't have been happier. i called every fight, and not because i thought the dude would win, but because i wanted him to win. and seeing bj penn just launch himself at sherk with that flying knee as he rebounded of the octagon fence was just the coup de grace. so what did you think?

Huge fan. Just finished watching Faber-Pulver. I go to most all of the Vegas fights and actually had the honor of hanging out with Gabriel Gonzaga before his loss to Randy Couture. Such a nice guy, even though I wanted Randy to win.

MMA are the hottest guys and the best athletes competing today.

i just watched the pulver-faber fight too! lucky me. i don't have a tv, but i happened to hop on the treadmill for a run right when it started. i think ppl at the gym most have though i was nuts. totally armchair quarterbacking the fight while running. such a great contest. i knew urijah would win, and i knew jens would give him a great fight. but DAMN, jens just took alot of punishment and never backed down. and urijah just kept dishing it out. what an amazing pair of fighters. i'm so happy for the WEC. i love the fact that they only sponsor the lighter weight classes. light weight fights are so much more interesting.

like randy couture's wife said, the heavyweights are boring. speaking of which, triggerman, i expected gonzaga to win that match. i knew randy would beat tim, but i figured he couldn't hold up against gonzaga's ground game. little did i know randy wasn't phased by it at all.

Yeah, WEC has great lightweights, and they make much more exciting fights than the heavyweights. Funny that Randy Couture's wife said that ;) - great!

Man I love MMA, but I missed this fight. Thanks for calling my attention to it, so I can download it. I deliberately avoided reading most of this forum so as not to spoil it for me.
