"• Affects the human brain in much the same way as morphine "

    Stopped reading there.
People are so addicted to food that this is common with a lot of food.
I'm willing to bet there is some book involved up for sale.
    Sensationalists ruin everything.

I'm glad I have a gluten intolerance, my life is much better after I found out the rashes and hives were being caused by it. I might not have discovered it otherwise.

Heh. I'm usually the first to point out corn as the root of all evil. Would not have suspected wheat except it is the building block for most of my favorite evil foods Pizza and Pasta.

Hmm, I think its bad to brand any foods as evil perse.. EVERYTHING can be evil if you consume too much of it... even vitamins...

In the words of Paracelsus: "Nothing is by its nature a poison, but by nature of its quantity, everything is"

that said.. the agricultural diet (the one we have now) is indeed far too rich in grains and sugars and starches.. and also fats....

also, these days Ive noticed people are beginning to consume far too much meat as well, thanks to the larger amount of wealth and more people affording to buy meat.... the excess protein is also actually not good either..

So Im obviously not advocating vergetarianism... what Im advocating is the right balance with any foods.. and yes, that does mean cutting back on carbs, but also watching protein ingestion

Everything can be bad for you.

    Everything can cause cancer.

    Everything in moderation.

I think everybody should read " The Paleo Solution" before making comments on this one, seriously.

wheat is fine. As long as you don´t eat it. Ever.

Use it to poison mice with. That would be a good use.
