    You have got to take it slow (I'm dating this guy for like a month and we have yet to kiss, yes there is mutual attraction in both of us)...and you need to have your own friends. Sometimes, timing just doesn't work out between you two so you end up not seeing each other for 2 weeks but you have to find ways to occupy yourself and hang out with your own friends.

    He will hang out with his friends and you will hang out with yours. You can invite him to join your friends group and you should be invited to join his as well but sometimes, neither of you will fit into the other's group. And it's awkward because your friends will have to watch out what they are saying and you have to watch out how you act in front of him so that you don't make a fool out of yourself and he needs to watch how he acts as well. So,it's best that you hang out with your own friends.

    And also, there needs to be mutual interest, it's not just okay that you are interested in him, he needs to be interested in you to keep it going. So, texting back and forth is a must, and not just one sided texts. You wait till he responds, no matter how long it takes, days...

    Third, go work out, lift some weights, get some adrenaline running, keep your body and mind occupied. The more blood is pumping in your body, the better you will feel about yourself and to keep those pesky self doubts and thoughts at bay. Dance in your house to your favorite music, who cares, nobody is watching. You have the right ot feel excited about this new potential relationship, instead of denying it, but be alittle bit cautious that you don't fall too hard.

    And the best advice is in order not to fall too hard and hurt yourself, keep in mind that there's an expiration date in everything, your college life, the milk in your fridge, your career, your looks, and even your life. Go out and buy new clothes (I bought new jackets, jeans, shoes, gloves, partly to impress him that he's not dating a lazy bum but mostly bought them because I want to and they look amazing on me..) As guys, we buy clothes only when we need to and it's a mistake. Guys should go to stores all the time even if he is not buying anything because sometimes you will find something that just look perfect for a certain event, a dinner or something that would go perfectly with the pants you have or the jackets that you have. You also do this to remind yourself that if this relationship doesn't work out, you still look goooood...icon_smile.gif

    At least you still have new clothes, a better body, still have the awesome firends and a brand new attitude instead of mopping around the house for days, trying to recover. You will feel sad but only for a shorter time, you brush it off, pick yourself up and say, "whatever, it's his loss, not mine"..;)

    Thanks for this great advice.

    A question for you.;

    Is it OK to text him once in a while during the week asking hows he's doing or saying "thinking of you" or shit like that? Is it to be expected for him to reply back right away or not at all if he's not longer interested?

    Should I assume if he doesn't get back right away or not at all that he's a flake and don't want to continue to pursue a possible relationship and cannot find a way to tell you in order not to hurt my feelings? I'm in this dilemma right now and I don't know what to make of him. Very complex individual.

    No, don't send those "thinking of you" texts. too much, too soon.
