Mariah Carey doesn't even think Leona Lewis is talented, yet she redoes a Christmas Classic with the "currently hot" popstar? What blasphemy?

I'm not a hater. I just don't think Justin Beiber is talented. His dancing is nothing special and his voice is extremely nasal and he can't do anything besides emulate male R&B singers with his excessive runs. No vocal range whatsoever.

If Mariah Carey asked me to do a duet with her, I'd make sure I went toe to toe with her. How dare he whine during her beautiful note at the end?

Then again, Ne-Yo, Akon, a bunch of averagely-talented people have sung with "legends", so I guess when your sales aren't what they used to be, you go with whoever's hot. Music's a business. Doesn't mean quality music can't be put out.

Why did I listen? I try to give people a chance to prove themselves. He clearly does not need another and needs vocal lessons.

Singers redoing their songs alone is a travesty.

Ne-Yo is in a whole other league than that little twit.

I'm so disappointed in you, Mariah. That song is one of the most popular Christmas songs out and you let that flavor of the month destroy it.

I don't think Mariah said Leona couldn't sing, she just said she was tired of the comparisons because Leona is not her and will never be her. She was right about that: Leona Lewis is a great singer, but Mimi is one of the best singers of all time and most prolific hitmakers stars of all time. There is a difference between very good and legendary.

That said, I don't know what she was thinking with this Bieber thing. Reaching out to the next generation maybe? Okay, fine, but why ruin a classic to do so?

That's pretty bad. I kind of like this cover by The Puppini Sisters, though.

Justin Bieber should never have had the career he has. That he was found on youtube where there are SO many more talented people than him also displaying their hard work, just adds more insult to the matter. I mean, hell, if my parents hadn't laughed every time i asked for vocal lessons i can almost guarantee I'd be a better singer than him. He's really not all that special and his music is AWFUL (not to mention he's not all that bright either)
