I noticed at least a dozen gay couples at the Getty Center in LA recently. Most of them look like the intellectual semi-nerdy kinds. Nice scenic views.
    The exhibits contain nude statues.

Have you seen a similar situation in other art museums?

I've spent the last couple days museum-hopping in Fort Worth and Dallas (lots of great exhibitions up now in both cities). Gays all around -- coupled and otherwise -- but a particularly big cluster of them at the Tony Cragg survey at the Nasher Sculpture Center.

Everywhere you go in the Bay Area - including the deYoung Museum, you find gay couples. We seem to notice one-another and usually nod, smile or even chat a bit. It's a good thing.

I heard an old straight couple talking about it with each other: "They're everywhere now."

My partner is the director of an agricultural museum. I can say that a museum of that kind... in Kansas... you don't see gay couples mingling amongst the dirty equipment from the 1940's, etc....

    LOL

I mentioned in an aviation thread the other day that I went to the open house of a defunct, but architecturally significant) airline terminal at JFK and it was chock full of gay plane geeks and architecture nerds.

We can't help it if we got culture!
