RIGHTEOUS! First time any of my job applications have gotten a response in MONTHS. Last time was friggen Barnes & Noble and a few days after the interview i get this dinky little postcard in the mail saying "We're sorry but we don't have any positions available right now" which i know is bull cuz i have a mole on the inside.

This interview is for an unglamorous job at a glamorous store (Williams & Sonoma) and hopefully will land the stockboy position (did that sound dirty?). I'm sick of actually working corporate retail because they're so full of it. Macy's claims their #1 goal is customer service but it isn't. I got fired from Macy's for making customer service my priority!

Honestly, if it werent for my family I'd be on the streets or couch-surfing by now. (or living out of an old Volvo station wagon). I always get kinda bummed in the winter but having a job helps me get through the day. Nevermind the fact that i'll actually be working at a store frequented by gay men for the first time, lol.

Congratz. But sometimes luck will do a more important part in your getting the job. I just landed a job in the same day I asked for it, filled out an application, and had the interview. All in one day, within 2 hrs no less. It was all due to my kindness!!!

Yep, I feel ya there. With little no no obligations, one begins to feel useless. It's also a great way to have a little extra social interaction to keep you up-beat

That's great! I hope you're able to be yourself, but still meet your employer's demands this time!

    All the best!

I know it can be tough in this economy. Do what you can in your new position and look for another (if you find this one unsatisfactory) while still employed. There can be a lot of "unfairs" our there... the best thing for you is to keep looking and don't focus on the negatives, if possible!

dayum! THis thread went splodey overnight, lol. Thx for all the well-wishes and advice! Honestly, if i could just find a job that pays my bills and keeps gas in the car and new parts being delivered to my doorstep I could be happy in life (well, once i get done with college anyway).
