A few weeks ago, I got a message that Facebook was kicking over to a "Timeline" style profile and they made it sound as if it was happening very soon and was not going to be optional, but you could opt in early if you wanted to.

Being the geek, I did so, as did two of my friends. We are having fun with it, but it appeared that the aggressive timeframe to roll it out was relaxed, and now i haven't seen anything else about it in a while.

Has anybody else seen it, tried it, thoughts?

We supposed to get it by late Oct, but unfortunately some bloated troll company was sueing them for using the name "Timeline" it kinda slowed down the process of updating the new UI.

If you don't ever like the Facebook updates, I'd suggest trying a new social media service! icon_smile.gif

I'd rather not have the time-line to be honest. There are some posts and conversations on there I'm happy that people forgot and are too lazy to trawl for >_

I really like it. I think the format overall is much cleaner, and the cover is a good way to express oneself without being obnoxious like MySpace.

The only confusing part about it is that when you post something, it pushes everything to the other side of the screen, as in whatever is on the left, goes right, and whatever is on the right, goes left. But if you know that, you can get used to it.

I also like how you can go back and post to any time, all the way back to your birthday. I haven't yet, but I think it's a nice feature!

We were trapped at home due to downed trees and stuff all weekend so I started going through and putting up some old pictures and stuff. Got some good laughs with old friends out of it. The only thing that is weird is that to them it is like you are posting it as "news" since they don't have the ability to go back in time yet.

I switched to the Timeline 3 or 4 weeks ago and really like it. It's much cleaner and, I believe, easier to use.

I thought it was just some guy, not a company, who owns the website Timelines.com. He claims to have a trademark for online "Timelines."

I've had it for a month now... I think it's great! The banner across the top looks really nice.

    Zero!

Just saw it on a friend's profile a moment ago, and...meh.

It's a UI nightmare, at least on first look.
