The subject say it all, and no, it is not a joke!
I feel nervous and almost I can even feel like butterflies in my stomach because it is near the time to do it for the first time. I would love to ask for your advise, anything would help. It is normal to feel fear? is it hurt? How I can do it to feel more safe and avoid an accident? After all I think the most important thing is my health.

I can deny I feel excited and I really looking for it, and even when I embarrassed for doing it for the first time at my age, I think it is better late than never. So yeah, this week Im going to carve for the first time a pumpkin, so wish me luck guys! =)

Well being its you first, be sure you don't pick one thats too big. Personnaly I prefer them hard and smooth, but sometimes you came really play with the ones that have a little txture. Also be sure you are doing it on a clean surface. And have a towel handy cause you'll get a lot of crap on your hands initially. But once you've cleaned out the pumpkin, the rest is a piece of cake.....

    Silly silly boy ;)

Unless you're a skilled artist, the best way to do it is search for a pumpkin design online, print it out, stick it to the pumpkin then prick holes into the pattern through the skin of the pumpkin.

Then get a thin sharp knife and start cutting it out properly.

A little late to the party here, but I thought I'd mention that Dremel makes a special pumpkin carving tool. Get one for next year! icon_cool.gif

Being your first time, it may not last long.. you may just get started and BOOM. Messy explosion.
