    after a fat burning workout?

I usually do PB and crackers after my weightlifting workouts (I work out after midnight and RJ suggested it in an article) but I'm not sure if the same post-workout meal is good if I only do intense cardio (70-75% of MHR).

I try to hold off from eating too many carbs or fat after a fat burning workout. Your body will continue to look for fuel to burn after you have finished. I will usually eat a lean piece of meat and some green beans (my usual dinner). Unfortunately, I get very light headed right after intense cardio, so I grab a protein cookie.

I usually eat 2 fresh oranges or have a large class of juice. I drink the Lakewood brand of juice which is far better than just the normal juices that you find in a store.

Is it better for you or better tasting?

Protein shake. Not the meal replacement ones, though.

Whatever is available or what I'm craving after my workout. I don't indulge in anything like Pizza Hut or McDonald's, but I do allow myself to have a healthier, if not the healthiest versions of what I'm craving. Though, sometimes there's a time and place for a big piece of homestyle triple chocolate cake with chocolate frosting with chocolate shavings and cocoa powder and confectioner's sugar on top, with a side of cool whip and/or vanilla ice cream.

I always work out in the morning after breakfast, so I eat nothing until lunch, which is my main meal of the day. I like middle eastern, chinese, thai or jamaican food (I take out and bring it back to work).

I have two-thirds portion of a gainer shake with skim milk to replenish my muscles after a hard cardio workout.
