Lately, my ears have been battered by the sounds of women talking and talking and chatting about nothing in particular......in the street, on the subway...everywhere. Squeaky high pitched voices that use the word "like" a hundred times in one sentance. Anyone else notice that? Or am I just being sexist?

I read about a survey of straight married men and their reactions to getting blow jobs from their wives.

3% said they enjoy the warm wet feeling

4% said they enjoyed friction of the lips

93% said they enjoyed the quiet

From my limited experience, I say yes. When I was in college this teeny sat next to me as I waited for my class to begin and started to talk. She never shut the hell up! Only reason I didn't walk away was 1: I was in front of my class room, and 2: she had a terminal illness. She said 'like' a lot. ::shivers::

Only time I talked to a guy who wasn't from my table only lasted long enough for me to tell him I wasn't going to let him cheat off my work. It's college, 'like' wtf? You pay to be taught... icon_rolleyes.gif

My current efficiency project is the company's call centre - and the stats show that yes, on average, women do talk for longer. They also generate the most complaints from customers. And have the highest amount of "peer" instigated grievances (ie they fight. A lot).

On the other hand, the gay consultants talk for just the right amount of time, get the most compliments and make the most sales.

I don't think I can fill the whole call centre with gay men though.

One of my sisters NEVER knows how to shut up. It's the 'has to get the last word' syndrome. Whenever something goes wrong for example, she blames everybody else and keeps on and on about it. When someone finally tells her to shut up because nothing can be done about it, she goes quiet for a moment, then continues on yakking about how rude it was to tell her to shut up and then drags in old topics again... and on and on and on and on... icon_mad.gif

Seriously. I learned that the best way to get her to shut up is to just IGNORE her completely. icon_rolleyes.gif
