Weird fat distribution?

    Hey guys

I have a genetically very pronounced fat distribution (my dad's the same, and his dad is too). Basically, there's no fat on my arms, chest, or legs AT ALL. I have veins popping out of my veins when I'm rested, and when I workout I look like I've been injecting crack for the past twenty years.

All over my body fat percentage is pretty low, but I've just got this ring of fat at the bottom of my stomach. I have a tiny waist and then bizarre, tiny gut. It looks weird, and I hate it.

I'm not sure what the best way to get rid of this kind of thing is. Obviously cardio and diet play a part - but i'm trying to build muscle at the moment and getting results in my arms chest and legs and don't want to sacrifice that for the gut. I do mostly free weights with cardio from martial arts.

I know this is a pretty common thing for guys and was just wondering if anyone had tips?

Hi, saw your shirtless pic. I don't think it's as bad as you describe it. If you have a ring of fat around your mid section it is probably from a higher fat % than you think. A lot has to do with what you eat, types of food, when you eat how often, and your exercise regimine.icon_idea.gif

Try pilates. It focuses a lot on that mid section and core strength. Not that I know anything about your workouts, but you might not be working out your entire core (which is not JUST your abs)

I swear that I have more fat on my right side than I do on my left. I seem to have a right boob, and a left pec. I have a bit of a muffin top on my right side, and not on my left. I also find myself cutting up pretty good in my arms etc, but still have a gut.
