What a mess. I feel sorry for the business owners and regular people of Oakland having to put up with all the violence and damages caused by these misfits. These bums are so unhappy with the way the Obama administration is running the country, but instead of blaming their chosen one, they blame Wall Street and other businesses. Most of these protesters are activists who go anywhere they're needed to start trouble. How many of them have ever had a decent job or even finished high school? While there may be some good people among the protesters, the majority of them are the dregs of society, as this article plainly shows.

These Occupy people do not care who they are bringing down. These people are not rational, jealousy and hatred have taken over. I try to avoid them in lower manhattan because they smell so bad, but I have a feeling that the violence is going to get worse, which will be one more reason to stay away.

If this shit keeps up their cause won't be heard, only the bullshit will be seen and heard. Indeed, those who pull this violent and distructive crap, apparently don't have the cause that started the OWS protests in mind at all.

Thousands of protesters march to the Port of Oakland for a general strike Wednesday. Port officials said Thursday that "the situation remains fluid" after the earlier shutdown.

These arsonists and pillagers and looters should be punished with utmost severity and swiftness.

Put them on a chain gang and let them do something productive, like clean up their own messes.

You mean they turned violent when the cops shot war veteran Scott Olsen in the head, fracturing his skull? That's the brutality of the "crowd control projectile".

As usual, nothing to see here...

Same ArticlePolice said that about 7,000 people participated in demonstrations throughout the day that were peaceful except for a few incidents of vandalism.

The ongoing violence and destruction continues. Pull up the San Francisco Chronicle report. SFGate.com. Front page - articles and videos. Attempts by a lunatic fringe of liberals here to mitigate the rioting are predictable. Want to know about what is really going on in this Hell? Check it out. "Nothing to see?" Nothing good to see, is more like it. Over 80 arrested last night alone.

Nope, the "protesters" turned violent first - by throwing rocks and bottles at the police.

Why hasn't the governor called in the National Guard????

Each and everyone of these disgusting greedy bums should be arrested. Throw them in jail.

I hope to god your house and place of business gets burned to the ground with these protests so we can say "nothing to see here" to you. Try showing sympathy to all the hard working Americans who couldnt get to work (not the top 1%) because of these rioting anarchists.

The cops attacked first, with tear gas and projectiles. It's like comparing an ant biting an elephant. The cops have shields and helmets to protect their poor wittle brutal piggy selves from a little pebble. Scott Olsen didn't have a helmet to protect his skull from being cracked open.

The real "bums" are the corporate parasites that steal the wealth from those who truly produce it - the working people.

It is we who plowed the prairies, built the cities where they trade, dug the mines and built the workshops, endless miles of railroad laid. Now we stand outcast and starving midst the wonders we have made.

All the world that's owned by idle drones is ours and ours alone, we have laid the wide foundations, built it skyward stone by stone. It is ours, not to slave in, but to master and to own.

They have taken untold millions that they never toiled to earn, but without our brain and muscle not a single wheel can turn.

In our hands is placed a power greater than their hoarded gold, greater than the might of armies, magnified a thousand-fold, we can bring to birth a new world from the ashes of the old, because united we are strong.

Given how you've already embarrassed yourself with your stunning lack of knowledge on a variety of subjects including the OWS movement, perhaps you should just hush now.

Yeah, if you hang out with a bunch of anarchists, it's likely you're gonna get hurt.

Hopefully those injured have learned their lesson.

Dude the Anarchist are not only unwelcome but are outnumbered about 7 to 1 ESPECIALLY here in Philly. Every time one of them attempts to open their mouths and be heard no one pays attention until they go away. You will always find anarchist at any liberal or libertarian event because

    1) It's usually a younger crowd and anarchist are usually pretty damn young (except of course for those arm chair libertarians who get off at the idea of a post apocalyptic America, but you rarely SEE them outside the house anyway)

    2) Liberal events are much more open to a range of ideas and they feel they can take them over.

For fucks sake talk to any of them and 9 times out of 10 they are Ron Paul supporters.

    Great. But PHL isn't Oakland.

    And Anarchist aren't protesters icon_smile.gif

And Oakland police have a serious history of unprovoked violence so you know...
