LOL! I definitely remember reading when he came out that he wasn't going to resort to Spain or Argentina just to get married. But I suppose things have changed, so perhaps getting married out of necessity?

Besides, if I remember correctly, he's lived in Spain off and on for quite a few years. I imagine by now he's eligible for citizenship since it only takes 2-3 years for Latin Americans.

Europe according to the Vatican...specifically, Spain.

LOL! Though Spain is indeed gay friendly, it is hardly a major advocate of the Catholic Church anymore. Religion has lost considerable ground in Spain since the end of the Franco regime.

Latin Americans are far more loyal Catholics than Spaniards have been in the last 3-4 decades.

I'll give him benefit of the doubt that he is considering he's lived there periodically since the '90s.

Spain is pretty generous towards granting resident status to immigrants of Latin America, Portugal, Andorra, and Brazil. Immigrants from these places can be eligible for citizenship within a few short years while it's 10+ years for everyone else.

I agree with q1's map of the catholic world... catholic church is very gay indeed, like ten times more gays in the church than outside.... its not even a secret in Rome.. its just not really talked about

and personally, I like the fact theres so many gay priests lol.. they can be hot in those robes ;)

I agree with their interpretation of Czech Republic as godless, but hello, there's Bel Ami! Lots of hot gay porn coming out of there lately (although many of their models are also from Slovakia and Hungary) icon_smile.gif

Incidentally: the profusion of Virgin Mary vacation spots really exemplifies Europe's pre-Christian roots as a Mother Goddess-worshiping culture, rather than a Father God-worshiping one, introduced by Middle Eastern religion (Yes, christianity is a middle eastern religion, its true, admit it!)

LOL of course it was. And believe it or not, people of the Middle East were pagans also until Jews decided it made more sense to worship only one god.
