I have to have my running sneakers...no maker how much they cost. I refuse to go to just a regular sneaker store to get sneakers. I go to the running store.

my vacation. they come far too seldom to skimp. That means the air itinerary I want ( not the 6am flight or the propeller-powered aircraft because it's cheaper ) and a proper hotel...

Clothes. And books. And movies. Those be my essential luxuries. But most of all, undies.

I thought I was going to be weird by saying books, but I'll be, there are a lot of book worms here. I run a local Men's Book Club and I spend a lot on books, my apartment looks like a library and I own thousands of books. Glad to see there are crazy books folk like me out there.icon_biggrin.gif

I also splurge on food. I love restaurants and delicious home cooking, so food is a biggy too.icon_cool.gif

    Books for me too...

But meat and produce is next. I refuse to cook with anything but the best quality beef/pork/chicken/fish and the freshest vegetables.

I'd be ashamed and embarrassed to serve poor food to my friends and family.

Clothes and shoes...and it's a sickness. My weakness -- jeans, board shorts, vintage t-shirts, and puma tennis shoes.

I've haven't given any thought to buying knock-off items - since I got stung on a pair of slacks at a Nordstrom Rack years ago. They were cut all wrong and I gave them away. Now, I just don't need anything from a knock-off store - at all. Seriously, I'd rather just enjoy the good things I already have than bring new inferior things into the house.

I have to limit visits to Dive shops, or else I'll go bankrupt buying up new toys.

Certain ingredients. Not all of them... Plain flour is plain flour, butter comes from all milk, but particular things are worth more.

Like cooking wine. Or rather, just wine that I'd drink... One for the pot, one for me.

I won't buy an olive oil unless I think it's worth it, ditto Balsamic vinegar.

The other thing I splurge on is my PC. Sure, I could have bought a dual core... But I *wanted* a Q6600, they'd just dropped in price, and so what if I bought a 8800GTX instead of an 8600? It renders more pixels faster and with more shiny. Shiny! Ph33r the power of my shiny.

(3D mark rated it above 90% of all submitted test scores. I feel that is vindication enough).

Underwear. Its comfort is very important to me. I hate sitting in a boring meeting with uncomfortable underwear. Ever tried to fix your "junk" in the presence of other people? Very difficult trust me.

I used to buy a lot of books but have run out of room. Now I try and get them out of the library.

I can drink cheap liquor but I refuse to smoke cheap weed.

Every once in a while I will splurge on a high priced hooker instead of my usual skanky whore.
