Moving out to California for a job I start monday morning in San Diego. Flying out on Sunday.

All my shit is packed. Wearing a cute pair of jeans and a J.Crew button down with the sleeves rolled up and going. fuck it.
Leaving everything I know behind here to try something new, hope it works.

Good Bye East coast. I will miss u. Well, sort of.

I havent got a place to stay yet, as my job will be putting me up somewhere for my first 3 months, after that I will have had to find a place.

making over $65/k a year so hopefully that'll be enough.

    Cheers.

Ha! Congrats on the job. See, you were worrying too much before.

And yes, you can live comfortably for $65K, without needing to live with 5 roommates in a 2 bedroom apartment. icon_biggrin.gif

Good luck and lots of success. After Florida California will seem like an island of sane people. I did the reverse move 5 years ago and still miss it.

Good for you man! Take your time looking for a place. When I first moved to Chicago I signed a year lease on a great apartment for 1750 a month....then I realized I could move down the block into a not as nice apt, but for like 1100 haha FML.

It is expensive to live there, but you are from southern Florida with is equally as expensive I think, just better weather here icon_smile.gif

I left Fort Lauderdale myself a week ago, but I didn't go as far as you. (Just up the road to Boca.)

I loved boca. I went to FAU right off glades road. Spent 4 years of my life in boca and never regretted living there. Hope boca treats u just as well.

Good luck. Everyone should pick up and move far, far away at least once in his life. I hope it will be a great adventure for you.

San Diego is way less expensive than Los Angeles. You'll be fine.

Great weather all year long, half naked men all year long.... And the surfers!!! Yum!

I hope you love California. I do.
I grew up in the Fort Lauderdale / Miami area.
