Wow some people are waaaay too uptight. I'm not a fan of the grunters at the gym but to actually hurt one? That's nuts.

But no it could never happen to me. I'm quiet. icon_biggrin.gif

And his name is Sugarman? That's priceless.

I'm quiet too. I do all the shouting and rooting in my head. icon_smile.gif

That one guy shouldn't have resorted to violence -- lame.

Only in America would a lawsuit result from grunting.

That said grunting during a spin classicon_rolleyes.gif

Looking at his picture and reading the description he sounds the type that would feel the need to assert his masculinity in adding sugar to his coffee.

There was a fat guy in my gym last week that was making noises while warming up doing flys with 20lb dumbbells. I can defiantly say it was irritating and unnecessary.

I mean everyone makes noises exhaling harshly when lifting or talking themselves through the last 100meters of a 10K run. I think it encourages the rest of us trying to push ourselves. But fake excessive grunting mocks those of us actually making an effort and yes makes me angry.

Rather than attack someone I just say quietly to one of the other guys or myself.

"Wow he must be must feel the necessity to overcompensate for one tiny cock"

I remember when that happened. Only in New York!

An irate guy tried to make a friend of mine move on the the treadmill because he was working out right next to the guy and the guy didn't like it for some reason. The guy reached over and pulled the emergency off switch on my friend's treadmill and told him to move. I tried to get him to get the guy thrown out but the guy left before anything could happen.

I can't understand in the story why the guy finished his workout and then went to the hospital.

I would have thrown him accross the room the first time he shouted "You go girl!".
