Seriously, can today's emo-twerps ever be as good (or as bad!) as what we used to call ROCK?

Have fun guys, post some good clips icon_smile.gif

    LOVE THIS POST!

    HELL YEAH!

I'm gonna post a vid on here but in the meantime gonna share that YES I agree that some bands today just don't have the "pizaz" as some o' the classic metal bands!

Saw a nod to DANZIG - Couldn't more agree!

Trollileo saidRock is dead. I'm going to save it.

Seriously, I almost feel like our only hope left is The Darkness.

^^ This. The Darkness may elicit alot o' chuckles, but they are badass & as close as 'new rock' sounding nostalgic!

Lets face the facts. America hasn't had a decent rock group in years.

For newer groups, I have found myself getting a taste for some of the Deftones tracks. Their lyrics tend to grab my attention.

This isn't metal, but it's from the same time period. I always found this track did a better job at being raw than most rock songs:

Heck yeah dude! Agreed! I used to listen to their album White Pony religiously. It has such a haunting quality about it.
