...having troubles with RealJock and their web browsers in the last couple days? All of a sudden I sporadically can't see images, can't reply to emails, can't edit posts, and can't navigate the site. Every now and then the site just loses all its formatting entirely and appears as a string of text.

Weird. It's never happened before, and it's irritating.

Anyone else having glitchy behavior, or know if the RJ Gods are in the process of revamping something again??

    Shawn...huh? *scratches head* I don't get it...

Oh, see, there goes another glitch. I can't italicize or use smileys. Perhaps this is the beginning of the Great Butterfly Conspiracy?

Not being able to edit or delete posts was one of the first glitches I noticed, Shawn. Maybe there's just a butterfly stuck in my keyboard??

Strangely, every other website I use is just fine.

Calm down Zdrew. Computers go funny now and again and that goes for servers.

Come back tomorrow and it'll all be fine again.

I am having trouble with my home computer period. As for the RJ problems, considering how much stuff is put on this site I am not surprised if it is slow at times.

    Hey guys,

I just wanted to address a few of the issues you've been having in the past week.

The first is the IM/Chat problems. We use a third-party provider called Userplane for our Chat and IM and, to put it mildly, they've had a really bad week. We just received an email from their CEO in which they told us they have had one switch failure, a few load balancer failures and a huge power outage all within the span of 7 days. They have assured us that it's fixed and things should be much better moving forward.

The inability to delete posts is, I'm embarrassed to say, a bug I introduced a couple of weeks ago. You can still delete posts but the confirmation box is popping up at the top of the site instead of wherever you have scrolled to. As a result, the screen dims but you don't see the "Yes" to click to get rid of the post. If you scroll to all the way up, it's still there and you can still delete your post. Sorry about that. It will be fixed in the next release in a few weeks.

Finally, as far as the problems with images, styling etc.., my guess is that there is a problem with our Content Delivery Network in your area. Like many other sites, we use a CDN to deliver our images and other files to our members around the world. Occasionally they will have problems which can impact the member experience significantly. Hopefully it will get resolved soon. I'll send them an email and see if they're working on any problems.

    Thanks,

    Chris

That's ok Chris. I'm sure I speak for the entire membership when I say as long as you keep your profile pic as is, we don't mind any bugs, hehe.

On a serious note, thanks for letting us know.
