It just means that The Killers had an awesome debut album, and all the ones that came out after sucked really hard. icon_lol.gif

I would say that's a little harsh... The first album was killer (hah. hah.), and true the 2nd and 3rd weren't as good, but still had some memorable tracks.

^^This! In 2004, when THE KILLERS' Hot Fuss album debuted I was on it like white on rice & obsessed! I jammed to this cd so much I had to buy multiple copies.

While I did like/enjoy their sophmore album SAM'S TOWN - it was the beginning of their cycle away from their initial sound.

I want them to put out a studio album that is back to their New Wave/Dance Rock roots!!

The only other song I liked that's not on Hot Fuss, was "When You Were Young", but that's about it. Their style of music changed for some reason after the first album.

I didn't even play the video, to try to avoid the earworm. It was to no avail. I hate you. icon_evil.gif

    1 I love the song

2 Regarding the meaning (from Wiki):
On the band's official website, the biography section states that Flowers is singing "Are we human, or are we dancer?" and also says that the lyrics were inspired by a disparaging comment made by Hunter S. Thompson, where he stated America was raising "a generation of dancers". In an interview with Rolling Stone, Flowers said that he was irritated over the confusion about the lyrics and also that fans were unhappy with the song's dance beat: "It's supposed to be a dance song, [the beat] goes with the chorus...If you can't put that together, you're an idiot. I just don't get why there's a confusion about it."

3 I've wanted that fucking jacket with the feathers since I first saw it. If I can't find one, I'm just gonna have to make one myself!

One o' my fav tracks from Day & Age is the first opening track..though the title I've forgotten!

You know, I really enjoy The Killers more than The Strokes.

I mean, they're kind of opposites.

The Strokes are a bunch of rich kids that wanted to make rock music "trashy."
While The Killers grew up as poor kids who want to "glam up" rock music.
