Mine would be this: being from a Latino island, I love how fun-loving and warm people are.. when you go out, you can go with friends, family, everyone and everyone will DANCE in couples, like salsa. All night long and uninhibited.. old, young, fat, short, slim, tall, pretty, ugly, good dancer, or bad dancer.... everyone is welcome on the dance floor...

even though sometimes ppl may show off, the important thing is that everyone is having a good time together. and it doesn't have to turn into some kind of "dance battle" where people try to out dance one another, and everyone has to leave the floor to give the exaggerating "professionals" their space... dancing is a community thing for us... and its more important when partying than food, drink, or conversation... you can even dance with strangers without anyone expecting you to be hitting on the people you dance with... and you CAN dress and dance sexy on the dance floor without turning it slutty or raunchy like you see on TV...

most other places Ive been to there are so many rules for dancing... "only dance if you can show off, only dance with your marital partner, only women together, dont dance close and sexy with a stranger unless you want to hit on them" etc etc etc.. phew... the freedom to dance for EVERYONE and everyone dances their hearts out from young... thats what I like about my culture icon_smile.gif

Indian food.... not the fat laden over spiced stuff in restaurants that fucks up ur arse and clogs ur arteries, but the good home made stuff!!! mmmmmmmmm. I crave that the most when I'm not home.
