My political science professor is making the class watch the first episode of The Good Wife to see if we can identify the direct correlation that the show has to todays political figures. I'm guessing he is talking about the affair that happens in the show and we than have to write a paper of who is best depicted in the show..

Just by watching the first episode I am convinced that Bill and Hillary Clinton is are the perfect match.

But what I wanted to say is why haven't I seen this show before. It is absolutely AMAZING. The characters, story line, EVERYTHING. I've decided that I'm going to watch more seasons.

I believe that I am fascinated by this show because I want to become a lawyer and this is a law type show.

If you've ever seen this show please let me know what you loved about it, what you hate about it, and etc...

I feel like I missed too much of that show because the the later episodes feel like Law and Order.

Look up Elliot Spitzer - that's who it is most directly patterned after. The focus is around a Democratic state prosecutor that has been accused of being corrupt and I think they're vague on this point but perjury attempting to cover up his dalliances with hookers.

I think there are broader more loose inferences to Hillary Clinton but Alysha (sp?) is not really political - she just needs to find a job in the meantime after long being a stay at home mom to feed the kids while being stuck with her meddling and intrusive mother in law.

I like the show - good drama, interesting/clever episodic storylines that aren't forced into carrying over but also broadly have analogies to legal battles in the news. Likeable and reasonably believable characters.
