(CNN) - Mississippi voters Tuesday rejected a controversial amendment that would have defined life as beginning at conception.

The pendulum has begun its swing back to reality for the uber right.

There goes somebody's plan to move to Miss. and claim 25 embryos as dependents for tax credits. The freezer stipend is gone as well.icon_lol.gif

If life begins at conception, my hand should be pregnant by now.

An interesting pro-life argument against a personhood amendment.

I often suspect that political entities, legislators in particular, just generate laws and measures and issues as advertising strategies: efforts to appear to be busy to their base or to issue voters while not actually doing anything. I dimly suspect the same thing about most pro-life legislation... Seems like a strategy to agitate voters more than to actually accomplish anything.

LMFAO! And I thought immediately of the Duggar vagina clown-car.....they're on they're 20th kid now!icon_twisted.gif

Sponsored free products by Home Depot, free appliances, house additions built by donations, college scholarships, etc. And child labor at home, of course, called "chores" (x 10000 for a family like that with that litter)

I wish people wouldn't "encourage" them or enable them......grrrrrrr.

Making such an extreme categorical definition like that was certainly not going to fly. No one has all of the moral answers on precisely when "life" begins but this was probably the correct decision from the sentiments of voters.

Im shocked that this didnt pass. Of all the coservative ballot issues up for a vote, thought this was an easy win for the GOP given Mississippi politics.

It's because Satan has won there! Clearly the vampires are behind all this...icon_twisted.gif
    http://foolocracy.com/2011/11/satan-wins-as-mississippi-personhood-initiative-goes-to-defeat/
Mississippi Lt. Governor Phil Bryant spelled out as clearly as possible what would happen if Initiative 26 went down to defeat. Initiative 26 would define that once an egg is fertilized, then it is a person.

“This is a battle of good and evil of Biblical proportions,” Bryant said.

Bryant went onto say that “Satan wins” if Initiative 26 went down to defeat. Bryant the Republican nominee for governor coasted to an easy victory with 61% of the vote. However, Initiative 26 was routed resoundingly in one of the nation’s most conservative states. The voters rejected Initiative 26 by a 57%-43% margin.

Chalk one up for Satan. Yet if Satan garnered an electoral victory, Bryant needs to give a nod to supporters of the horned one too. He wouldn’t have been elected if Satanic-leaning voters who rejected the personhood amendment had not voted for Bryant over his opponent.

Does this mean it’s twin victories for Satan tonight?
