Besides their victory in Ohio, the Republicans have taken the Virginia State Senate, giving them full control over the Virginia Government and the Mississippi General Assembly. This will work to their advantage with redistricting, making their new Congressional Seats safer.

Which Victory in Ohio? Kasich came out and nearly cried.

That you support redistricting (in order to essentially disenfranchise portions of the electorate) even under your sock account is really disgusting.

Christian, you have no proof that I'm a sock account. All you have to do is report me to the Site Administrator.

Yes Ohio is bound and they dont like it (as they said in their votes yesterday) thats why Obama is in trouble there.

Ohio Voters Emphatically Reject Kasich’s Anti-Union Law

SB 5 has become a political poster child for Democrats pushing against Republicans, following the 2010 GOP wave, with the Dems and labor unions mobilizing while at the same time Kasich’s popularity tanked in the polls

    GOP Govs' Popularity Plummets

The cycle of over-reach and backlash is in over-drive these days—with significant implications for the 2012 presidential election. In pivotal swing-states where voters narrowly elected Republican governors in 2010—like Florida and Ohio (with 47 electoral votes between them)—evidence of buyer's remorse is piling up fast.

The loss in Ohio was more of a state issue. Kasich overreached, by comparison to the Governor in Virginia. But the Republican victory in Ohio, the repudiation of Obamacare is what has NATIONAL implications.

    hippee, hippee, hippee !!!!

Certainly a ridiculous comment. Some of my best friends on this site are those I disagree with politically... your comment makes as much sense as
all "Chris's" are liberal progressives....doesn't it???

an equally outstanding Republican victory is the ouster by recall of Arizona Senate President Russell Pierce. you may recall, he authored SB 1070, the tough anti-immigrant law.

maybe it's time to concentrate on the economy and jobs?

move to the center folks, move to the center. the air is cleaner and fresher here.

You mean the perfectly reasonable and normal common sense anti-ILLEGAL immigrant law? There's nothing "non-center" about it. A police officer can ask for proof of citizenship only after there is another just and reasonable cause to pull someone over. Omgzz how extreeeeme!

That's funny, I've met some liberals that aren't the above characteristics, and I've met some Republicans that embody the above characteristics.

Liberals are the most jealous, greedy people I've ever seen. How bout the bottom 50% start paying their fair share in income taxes?? How many of the occupy trash pay taxes? And their out in the streets with their hands out begging.
