    I never understand these bans. How do you prove if somebody has had homosexual sex in the first place? The ban was pointless, and lifting it is pointless as well.

    I think it is more to do with the principle of it than the actuality of it really.

    As for lifting the ban, it sends a message that gay men are accepted in society. I know that I refuse to donate blood until the ban is lifted...

    I've no idea of this list but I just choose to wait to have sex and don't believe in hook ups. It's been over a year now and yeah it sucks... had a boyfriend but we never got that far in the 3 months we were dating (complicated situation) so yeah... I'm glad the ban is lifted and maybe a year waiting is a little much... 6 months, ok sure. I could agree with that.

    It's also pointless that only anal between males violates the ban but if you butt fuck a woman, it's still the same heightened risk for the "top".

    Sexuality has nothing to do with the inherent risk of particular behaviors.
