Yesterday I went to the local mall. As I was walking, a very handsome gentleman caught my eye. I nodded and smiled and he did the same. As we were both going in the same direction, I started walking a bit slower to be able to admire him for just a few seconds longer.
He stopped to look at the Thomas Kincade paintings on display and I immediately became engrossed in the Cloisonné objets d'art in the booth next to him.
After a few moments he then visited the World Bazaar Outlet when I suddenly decided that I just had to enter also to look at the wicker baskets on display. I looked up to catch his eye once again and he had a somewhat amused look on his face.
He came over to me and asked "Are you following me?"
I was of course, taken completely by surprise and said "Holy shit, you mean I'm not invisible?"
I whip out my imaginary communicator and say "Spock, what the hell happened to my personal cloaking device...Spock?...Mr. Spock?"
The guy actually smiles and tells me that he is a "Trekkie" also. He tells me that he works in the mall and to "stop by sometime when you have shore leave."
He leaves the store and I am left wondering if I should take him up on the offer if anything just to try and convince him that I really am sane.
