COLORED TEXT GOES HERE I got bored so I'm making prciutto wrapped pork tenderloin stuffwed with mint, parsley and basil covered in lemon slices. On the side I'm roasting golden fingerling potatos and prociutto wrapped white asparagus which Ill al dente then flash fry to put a messo crisp on the ham? Have you ever had this problem and suffered the agony of an underdone or over roast or a limp asparagus?

Hmmm.....if your asparagus has gone limp and remains so.....I'd have that looked at immediately. icon_wink.gif

With the limp asparagus I can identify already!

I solved that by not using the canned stuff and putting it on the griddle for a short while with olive oil and garlic.

As for the roast, try a meat thermometer.

I'm bored too. So, I have to go to the gym because I think I just swelled a pound from reading all that.

I am familiar with Asparagus roasted with olive oil, lemon juice and ground black pepper. But, the night is young. Have you tried showing it a porno?

This thread seems more linear than circular.

That sounds disguising. You're covering the prosciutto with lemon (acidic), and stuffing the pork with a bunch of greens? I would stuff it with dates or figs and walnuts, keep the prosciutto, and glaze it with honey and Rosemary ;)

i hate this idea of wrapping proteins and vegetables in protein. in some combinations it works, but in most it doesn't. you already have a prosciutto wrapped protein (that seems overkill because it's stuffed too with three strong herbs and then covered in an acid) so why are you doing the same thing to the accompaniment? if you want to link elements on the plate use pairings or small flavors. furthermore, white asparagus has an incredibly specific and subtle flavor that i think does not pair well with the protein and is completely overpowered by said protein.

    simple flavors please.

Yes Jeff, but I think your missing the point of the thread.

The agony of limp asparagus? Siegfried and Roy? Tiger mauling? Schrodinger's equation?

    Make sense?

Asparagus makes your piss smell (much like feline piss), All we know for SURE about Shrodiinger's Cat is that it's piss smelled like cat piss, Siegfried and Roy's cat got PISSED...

You're trying to make us "lol" with cat references, I know someone that was often pissed...

You're paying tribute to Caslon. GJ. So cute.

    WAS THAT CIRCULAR ENOUGH?!?!?!
