    "During the Friday edition of “To The Point,” Public Radio International’s Warren Olney asked “should gays and lesbians qualify” as adoptive parents in the wake of the Penn State child sex abuse scandal, in which former football defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky is accused of raping young boys. In 1997, Sandusky founded a charity called The Second Mile, through which he encountered many of his alleged victims."

    Then he apologized.

    What this means is that in the mind of this man LGBT = pedophile.

    Much work is still needed.

    But isn't Sandusky married to a woman and has children? Shouldn't the equation therefore be:
    Marrried = LGBT = pedophile

    Yeah this brain surgeon did not do a great job in connecting the dots!

    OMG married bisexual men have a long history of hiding many things behind the skirts of their wives, and children too; even molesting children. Thats where the B in GLB goes, it for bisexual and bisexual is neither straight or gay; it's neither or either; one or the other.

    If gay men are somehow collectively responsible for the rape and molestation of young boys, then heterosexual men must be held responsible for the rape and molestation of young girls. But I don't see anyone talking about how heterosexuals can't be parents when a news story comes to light about the molestation of young girls.
    http://www.rainn.org/get-information/statistics/sexual-assault-victims
    In 1995, local child protection service agencies identified 126,000 children who were victims of either substantiated or indicated sexual abuse.

    Of these, 75% were girls.

    One of my biggest fears in coming out is that the parents of my kid's friends will make similar assumptions. Currently I take my son and his friends on overnight backpacking and ski trips. I worry that that is going to change.

    Exactly.
    And all religionists must be held accountable for molestation by priests.

    While Sandusky is married (to a woman), his children (not sure if all of them) are adopted.
    Maybe it'd be better if those children had been adopted by a gay couple.

    No point in getting all worked up over it. Look at the country in which we live. I mean, for a while people considered Bachman and Perry as reasonably fit to even run for president. Some people still do!
