Odds are, right now, that Romney will be our next President in 2012...it is of course too early to tell and many things can happen between now and the election.

I think that means that Huntsman has a better chance of beating Obama than Romney. But Romney has a much better chance of winning the GOP nomination at the moment.

Romney will need to answer for his weaknesses

    His shifting policies

    His lack of republican support

    His healthcare plan

    in order to be elected
Huntsman? Are you kidding me ?
I think what a half of a person voted for him in Iowa?

If Romney is the nominee, the issue of him changing positions will be compared with all the Obama lies and broken promises:

You scrape the bottom of the barrel with your sources. Pitzke is not taken serious by any German with an IQ over 65. Will you quote any fool who says things that are music to your ears?

John - Given the series of links your posted to "prove" Obama's "lies and broken promises", I'm not sure you're in a position to criticize others' sources. icon_lol.gif

Pitzke wrote an opinion piece with his opinions based on other opinions. Furthermore, even if an intelligent person had nothing but contempt for the Republican candidates, they would see the absurdity in his headline. The links I have shown on Obama's lies and broken promises are largely either video clips of Obama or direct quotes. Nothing similar.

I just read the article and can't find any errors in fact. In fact, it's an assessment of the GOP presidential field that many in the US share, including many Republicans.

Conversely, I read the Obama "lies" and the vast majority of them are not lies at all. In fact, Human Events lies or prevaricates in making its case.

A few facts in the piece sprinkled with a bunch of BS. But that BS is exactly the red meat you want to hear, so naturally you would not consider it BS.

On the Obama front, he continually said, "If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan." Many at the time stated it would not be possible because of the consequences of the act, but he persisted. So regarding the most important thing of his first two years, he has continued and consistently lied. And despite his apologists, he won't be able to hide from this.

Huntsman sure comes out looking good in the NY Times poll. I hope that is a sign that there may be a glimmer of hope that a Huntsman surprise surge could be in store. All he needs is one surprisingly strong showing in New Hampshire...even if it's a solid 2nd place...and this could be the catalyst to propel him into the top tier and a solid anti-Romney choice. It will be tough for him to get the nomination because of how moderate he is, but he could definitely have a very good chance of winning the general election if he does. This man has very little, if any, baggage and his track record as a Governor of Utah is as solid as anyone could ask for --- far better than both Perry & Romney

Romney agreed with this, then he disagreed, now he agrees again.
