post a simple factoid, something interesting that you learned either today or in the past (hmmm...doesn't that just mean...ever?). NO JUDGING!! Its no fun getting excited about LEARNING something if the first thing you hear is "well, DUH? Where have you been?"

My factoid is that Natural Gas is actually odorless. I found it researching a book a few years back. The scent is added in so that people can smell a leak. The most common additive is Thiophane.

Acoustic seabed classification is the partitioning of a seabed acoustic image into discrete physical entities or classes. This is a particularly active area of development in the field of seabed mapping, marine geophysics, underwater acoustics and benthic habitat mapping.

    ^This is not my fact.

    My fact is:
Hitting "Random Article" on Wikipedia can sometimes seem addictive. It may lead to hours of wasted time and countless new factoids. icon_biggrin.gif

    Here's a factoid:
Your body can actually produce some Vitamin D when your skin is in contact with the sun(specifically UVB rays). But don't just go out seeking the sun for Vitamin D, get it through a healthy diet or vitamin supplements.

With their minds hooked up to neurological sensors, they can move virtual objects. They created a means for monkeys to do this, and "found" that their shit works...

    Oy.

The ostensible ramifications of this study is that disabled people will be able to move objects. The actual ramifications of this study are probably ominous.
