You know songs that you liked a lot at first and then they ended up being overplayed so much that you no longer can no longer listen to them. The songs below are the one's that were killed by radio and are constantly playing at my gym.

For me it is:
Hey Soul Sister - Train
Party Rock Anthem - LMFAO (yes, already)
I Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas
Any Maroon 5 Song

I hated Adele's Rolling in the Deep the first time I heard it and I hate exponentially more now that it's been way overplayed. Sometimes I feel like I'll never get away from this song.

I was just waiting for Adele to be mentioned. I was okay at first, then I loved it and now I hate it.

It's like reverse brainwashing, very uncool. But they've stopped playing it here. i tend to play a song I love over and over again until I hate it though, I just can't help it

It's okay though, most of the time I love it again after a few weeks/months

If I never hear another Elvis or Beatles tune, it will be too soon.

And yes, Adele, and that Black Eyed Peas song you mentioned....time to lock that shit up.

This is why I don't listen to radio. They distort opinions on really good and catchy songs.

My gym plays the SAME FREAKING MIX for months. And it's BLASTING. They pay no attention to the fact that 99% of the people in there have headphones on. Then they do a "music choice survey" which they obviously ignore.

I don't know pop so I have probably heard most of the songs you guys are complaining about and am sick of them too, but my personal Armageddon right now is Mumford and Sons. PLEASE. GOD. MAKE. IT. GO. AWAY.

You don't like anything, you're a very negative person and you're always replying to my threads to say how much you don't like the music/movies/shows I like. So I don't care whatchu think...

And the sad thing is, she is actually GOOD. Just that now no one likes her because she's too popular.

Well, not that I care since I hate her too now *shrugs*

Anything by Lady Gaga...
Anything by Katy Perry...
Anything by Taylor Swift...

The list goes on...

This is why I rarely listen to the radio and why I wear sound-isolating earphones almost constantly.

When did I become such a cranky little homo?

Adele is the most overhyped ridiculous artist ever. Most of her songs are incredibly self indulgent, and not at all creative.

I hate to turn up out of the blue uninvited
But I couldn't stay away, I couldn't fight it
I'd hoped you'd see my face, and that you'd be reminded
That for me, it isn't over

He's married girl, get over him already and move the hell on with your life. Don't go stalking him around. And certainly don't go around encouraging other people to do this by creating a song they can identify their stalker tendencies with.

I do wish she'd go off to do some rolling in the six feet deep sometimes. Her songs become extremely grating with her caterwauling.

That being said, I like her song "Set Fire to the Rain", probably because it isn't overplayed.

Get satellite radio, or an AUX port, or burn a CD, or the FM transmitter...I have barely listened to the radio in the past few years..to many better alternatives!
