So I have an interview for a position at the place I am doing my internship with and the part that sucks is I am really really scared that I won't graudate because of one douche bag class. Been working on it so we'll see how it goes but I would really apprechiate it if you guys could keep me in your thoughts and prayers. I hopefully will graduate on December 10th, 2011. It's taken me almost 10yrs to finish up because of a lot of bs in my life; mainly from my family. I want this chapter to be over so I can start living it up the way I want to. It's time I let them figure their own shit out and I focus on what I need for me and my future partner. Seeing many of your guys pictures, reading your posts, all of it gives me strenght to know that things are going to get better... so thank you all!

Wow ten years big red flag- You better have a good answer for that and it better be more than just family, most people have a family and if you ever told and interviewer you didn't graduate for so long because of family, you will not get the job.icon_idea.gif

If you told a potential company you want to work for the education delay was about family, they will think anytime you have a family or personal issues your work will suffer.icon_idea.gificon_idea.gif

    Good Luck man.

I think the fact that I attened/attend a private catholic university where I pay completely out of pocket (30K a year), changed majors 4 times, dropped out to work and help support my family for a while explains quite a bit and if not I can elaborate. During the four years I was away from school, I helped my cousin take over the family print shop and modernized our digital infrastructure. I left there went to work for Express (the retail chain) starting off as a seasonal assocate quickly earning a remputation for being a model associate. I was promoted 5 months later to fashion expert. At the end of that year I was promoted to a part-time management position and then to full time management and was working between two stores. (A Top 20 - $11.1 Million and a core single gender store (about $1.1 Million)) I had to travel between both locations, coordinate with both management teams, train both stores assocates fashion outfiting, customer service/cashier training and loss prevention, and I had to help with merchandise flow and many other responsiblities and again not one but TWO stores. If you look at transcript wise, this would be the end of my 5th year working on my degree. I took 4 years off but was productive during that time. I think you'd have to look at the totality of the circumstance and if they aren't an employer that would do that.... I wouldn't want to work for such a douche anyway.

    Good luck!

Go to office hours and talk to your professor. If your grade is borderline, see what you can do. Tell him/her your situation. Profs usually want to help you, not to hurt you and keep you from graduating.

Keep us posted on how things turn out. Take care!
