Ive been doing two-a-days working out. Lifting in the morning and cardio in the evening but where I'm staying right now doesn't have anything past a hot plate, a microwave and a fridge. Plus I'm constantly short on time. Can you just survive on protein shakes. or scrambled eggs, protein shakes and an occasional salad? I'm trying to figure out something super simple and just keep eating the same thing all the time- boring but easy.

Sooooo suggestions? I'd like to still gain some muscle but mainly cut.

Seeds and nuts + whatever else your eating that runs up to just below your caloric needs. If you're just wanting to cut.

    Back to topic:

Seeds and nuts are very compact energy sources; but the risk is in over-doing them and short circuiting your cut.

I'd suggest also sausage links (non-rice meal adulterated) and cottage cheese along with plain Yogurt ... the "Fage" 0% fat (srsly: not trolling) had a very nice protein per gram ratio, and can be mixed nicely with a fruit preserve or better yet, fresh fruit when in season.

Well, technically yes. But those foods don't have all the vitamins and minerals in them that you need to really be healthy. So just eating a dozen eggs and protein shakes isn't going to come out very well in any sense of the word lol.

Search the internet for some hot plate /microwave recipes and you will find a lot of things. Protein and carbs should be your focus for gaining weight and maintaining energy.

Ya, those would be perfect... i also throw in pumpkin seeds as a greater source of protein. If you want, chop up some peppers and drizzle some olive oil and some herbs on the mix.

As alphatrigger said, you can overdo eating nuts and seeds, but the fat present in them is good dietary fat.

Try pistachios, almonds get boring. Definitely not peanuts icon_razz.gif

I didn't know about the dietary fat in nuts. I knew it had fat -- but much better that it's good fat.

I should stalk up on nuts for days. Shit's delicious.

But isn't seed and nut the same thing? No, anyone? Can I get a laugh? Arrrrgh, forget it, you're all a bunch of uptight wads! icon_confused.gif
