    Gay or NOT Gay?

Today, at my local Coffee House Cafe', there was some healthy discussion (debate, really) on the two male leads of Narnia and their sexuality. So, I got on the Net and, well to my shock and suprise, there was even more discussion. Personally, I think that my young friends from the coffee shop are just being hopeful.

    Y-o-u D-e-c-i-d-e ? ?

They look straight to me. I dont see why its even an issue if they are or arent. Why cant they just be close good friends? I think its stuff like that, which makes straight men weary of having anything to do with gay guys (friendship wise) and other straight guys other than some kind of macho friendship. becuase they have to constantly worry about if they are too nice to thier bestbuddy someone might think thier secretly giving it to eachother when thier alone.

Just so you know, I quite agree in general and sorta agree in specific... A poor sentence, sorry... This is what I mean: Most of my friends are male straight guys... Typically as we have developed friendship and they are more familiar with me, the admiration of gay guys just seems to become a non-issue. In fact, I can't think of one of them that isn't secure enough to make good fun of it and even enjoy the attention. I have to qualify here - As long as the attention is respecful of their sexuality and personal space and so on. It's funny, most of them have went to gay bars with me and even male strip clubs. It's pretty cool. And, well, I go to their strip clubs (if there is a pool table) and their clubs. And, I don't get bothered by the attention. Anyway, I can count my male gay friends on one hand... I'd have to use my hands and toes to count my straight guy friends. But, I do see your point... peace....

Lorraine Finster said it best on Will & Grace when she said "all british men are gay" (or words to that effect), from memory Will responded "I'd be offended by that... if it weren't true."

This is always such a funny subject to me. The propensity of gay men to speculate on the likelyhood of someone being gay based on their looks. Not surprisingly, the public persona in question is almost always very handsome. Granted, a large proportion of gay men tend to present themselves with more attention to outward appearance. Unfortunately, this tends to translate to the "he's so hot, he must be gay" that's become somewhat pervasive through our culture (at least here in the US where the entertainment industry has such a sway on the pop aspects of our culture).
Case in point: Jamie Bamber, handsome, built, talented, and British. He must be gay. Now the fact that he's gay friendly but straight, doesn't help the discussion. But you don't hear people saying, "I wonder if Edward James Olmos is gay."

That cracked me up. Great actor but you're right, gay guys don't take ownership of the not so pretty. I wouldn't be surprised if guys say of EJO, "he's too ugly to be gay" icon_smile.gif (sorry James, love you and BSG)

Ummm, I don't care to be honest. They are actors so I won't be befriending them or anything. People's obsessions with what movie actors do in their private lives is one of the great mysteries of modern society.

One thing I know for sure neither will have trouble attracting members of either sex!

On TRL, Barnes has mentioned that he's dating a female. When Moseley (the wet dream that he is for me) was asked the question, he said that he was dating, but he "won't say who or what". So if he's not gay (and I hope with those lips that he is) then maybe it's a centaur or some other character from Narnia.

Not gay, just both beautiful and loaded so who else are they gonna hang out with besides each other, Paris Hilton?

If it where me. I'd definitely hang out with Tilda Swanson ALL THE TIME ( I adore her). I think doing THAT would be more of a blatant indicator of my homosexuality, not being seen at events with a male cast member, lol.

    cool legs, Bryan!!

I'm not sure either way, but I don't see Ben and Will being an item.

However, Will has made several ambiguous comments, such as in one interview they mention that Caspian and Susan had a romance, and was he jealous, and he responded with "Of Caspian, or Susan?"

Following this, the interviewer asked if he'd like any female character written for him and he said something like "I'm not really sure female characters are what I have in mind..."

But then, these actors are known for being particularly ironic/sarcastic/just joking around in their interviews. So I'm not saying either way: But will does do things like that, which tend to make people ponder.
